Undercoating spray can be purchased as a diy product but it s tricky to apply so it s best to use this method at the dealership on a new vehicle. Also tar can dry and separate from metal and trap moisture causing the rot common on vehicles over 10 years old that had been treated with ziebart or other tar like products.

I would not apply anything i may have to remove at some point. Roofing tar is a good choice for a flat roof as this kind of material is highly resistant to the ultraviolet rays from the sun. Roofing tar is often used for tar and gravel roofs or to fix leaks on a roof.
